Trees have furnished us with two of life’s essentials, food and oxygen, since the inception of mankind. Today, their value continues to increase and more benefits of trees are being discovered as their role expands to satisfy the needs created by our modern lifestyles.

Rising pollution, mounting filth, dirty rivers, a restless ocean and melting glaciers, all these are just due to human insensitivity and interference. An obsession with industrial progress has caused man to lose sight of the tenuous ecological balance.

“Planting of fruit trees have contributed to the environment by providing social, ecological, spiritual, commercial and economical value”.

These needs make them valuable and contribute to benefits of planting them. From a social aspect, fruit trees help people become connected to the growing process while also providing a nutritious food source and food security.

Fruit trees also has many helpful environmental benefits, by providing oxygen, improving air quality, climate amelioration, conserving water, preserving soil, and supporting wildlife.

Fortunately, planting of fruit tree record the history of your family as they grow and develop alongside you and your kids and often make an emotional connection with fruit trees we plant or become personally attached to the ones that we see every day.

These strong bonds are put into existence by Save Horticulture, an initiative by Dr. Parshant Bakshi that go to great lengths to protect and save particularly large or historic trees from the dangers of modern development. The sentimental value of a special fruit tree is simply immeasurable.
